World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is recognized internationally each year on June 15 and serves as a call-to-action for individuals, organizations, and communities to raise awareness about abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults.
Thanks to our friends at Twin Oaks Agency Group, Vera House and our Evergreen Network recognized WEAAD virtually and launched 2, 30-second PSAs. The PSAs were televised locally and promoted on our Facebook page. Through the Facebook placement alone, over 61,500 people were exposed to the message "Aging is natural…abuse is not."
