What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior used to gain and maintain power and control over another person through fear, intimidation and often violence. It can take many forms and affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background.

If you are a victim of domestic violence, you are not alone. The CDC reports that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have experienced severe physical violence by an intimate partner during their lifetime. If you’re feeling unsafe, unsure, or afraid, there is help.
